Local Files Sidebar

The Local Files sidebar is a smaller version of Windows Explorer.  It allows for file browsing of all local drives as well as network drives.  Drag and drop link and image insertion is supported.

Folder Treeview

The top part of the sidebar displays all the folders and network drives available to the local computer. When you highlight a folder in the treeview, the list at the bottom of the sidebar is populated with the files found in that folder.

Files List

The list displays the files in the currently selected folder. Double-click on a file to open it in a new document.
Context Menu:

The Open in New Document command opens the selected documents in Spider Writer.

The Insert Into Document command inserts the selected document into the current document.

The Edit File command edits the selected document in its default application.

The Cut command cuts the selected files. Browse to another folder and use the Paste command to move them there.

The Copy command copies the selected files. Browse to another folder and use the Paste command to copy them there.

The Paste command pastes cut or copied files into the selected folder.

The Delete command deletes the selected files.

The Create Hyperlink To command creates a link to the selected document.

The Thumbnail Viewer opens the Results sidebar and displays the Thumbnail Viewer for images in the current Local Files directory.

The Refresh command refreshes the project file list.

The Rename command renames the selected project file.

The Properties command opens the properties window for the selected file.
